House washing
Soft washing for the exposed elevations that take the wind off the Sound.
House washing detailsHome / Stratford, CT
Service area
MBD Pressure Washing works throughout Stratford, on the Sound side and the river side. Both get weathered, and they do not get weathered the same way.
Local conditions
Stratford sits at the mouth of the Housatonic River where it meets Long Island Sound, with the river running the length of the eastern side of town and the Sound along the south.
Lordship is the extreme case. It is a peninsula reaching into the Sound, bounded by water on three sides, with a seawall along Beach Drive and Long Beach running west of it. Houses there take salt-laden wind directly, year round, with nothing upwind to break it. Siding on an exposed Lordship elevation picks up film faster than almost anywhere else in the service area, and it is painted and trimmed surfaces that suffer, which rules out high pressure.
The river side of Stratford is a different job. Tree cover along the Housatonic means shaded roofs, moss on the north slopes, and gutters that fill with leaves and needles every autumn rather than salt.

Who turns up
MBD Pressure Washing is owner operated. When you book a job in Stratford, you are not handed to a crew you have never spoken to. The same person answers the phone, looks at the property, gives you the price and does the work.
It is a short run across the Housatonic, so Stratford is a regular stop rather than a job squeezed in at the edge of a service map. That matters for the small things: turning up when promised, moving furniture back where it was, and not cutting a wash short to reach the next town before dark.
If it is worth doing, it is worth doing carefully and correctly.
