Service area
MBD Pressure Washing serves Seymour at the northern edge of our area. It is a river valley town, and the terrain does most of the work on the buildings.
Local conditions
Seymour sits on the Naugatuck River in the lower Naugatuck valley, about 15 square miles at roughly 387 feet of elevation, with Great Hill rising on the west side of the river and Skokorat on the east. Through this stretch the river is walled by steep forested hillsides.
Steep, wooded and north facing is the worst combination for a roof. Slopes that sit in hillside shade stay damp long after rain, and damp shingle grows moss and lichen rather than just algae streaking. Moss holds water against the roof, which is a slower and more expensive problem than dirt.
The housing is old, which sets the method. Seymour was incorporated in 1850 and grew as a mill town on the river, and its downtown still runs to Victorian buildings, the painted ladies. Painted nineteenth century woodwork does not survive high pressure. It gets soft washed or it gets damaged.

Who turns up
MBD Pressure Washing is owner operated. When you book a job in Seymour, you are not handed to a crew you have never spoken to. The same person answers the phone, looks at the property, gives you the price and does the work.
It is a run up the Naugatuck valley, so Seymour is a regular stop rather than a job squeezed in at the edge of a service map. That matters for the small things: turning up when promised, moving furniture back where it was, and not cutting a wash short to reach the next town before dark.
If it is worth doing, it is worth doing carefully and correctly.
